Matthew Wilford is a Christian, Husband, Father and business owner. I am married to a beautiful wife (Ashley) and four amazing daughters ( Frankie Rose, Madeline Rae, Scarlett Rain and Audrey Ruth) that never provide a dull moment. We enjoy serving with the church, anything outdoors and music. Through our experiences we have been able to cultivate our hearts desire to help serve our community through home building, partnering with the local organizations and churches and in our everyday relationships.
The Wilford Family is a 4th generation home builder who planted their roots in Jacksonville, FL in 1984. From the time the Wilford Family began in the home building industry to settling down in Northeast Florida, the Wilford name is and will continue to be synonymous with integrity, honesty, quality and above all relationships. Our family has always had a passion for our homeowners knowing that a home is where you raise a family, begin a life, lay your head at night and create life-long memories.
Growing up in a home that was supported by the home building industry, you gain an appreciation for not only the new homeowner that places confidence in us to build their home but all of the hardworking vendors and trade partners that embody the values and attention to detail that allow us to produce a beautiful new home or home modification. I recall as a child tagging along with my father and twin brother to clean up job sites on days off from school and being in awe of all the work going on simultaneously. Every person had their task and knew how to handle their portion. Later in life as a teenager I would find myself on a 800+ square foot driveway with a jack-hammer, a dumpster and some gloves left to engage the seemingly insurmountable effort of removing this driveway on my own. After a days work, much work had been done but hardly a dent in the overall project. I may have spent two days on that jack-hammer and at the end of that second day the builder decided I was not making progress fast enough and with a chuckle whistled on a large front end loader to remove the stubborn concrete in less than an hour.
As I stepped into the world with many options available, I continued to find myself drawn to home building industry and never looked back. When the time arrived to step out in faith and start this organization, I chose to make an impact with each home we build by striving for excellence in every home we build by providing a caring environment for each one of our home owners to partner with us in building their dream home. This industry has helped so many families in so many ways so we will continue that legacy of serving others through the home building industry.
